Hi all

This is a heads up that our wholesale market price APIs will soon be decommissioned. The WITS team have announced that they are going live with publicly available APIs - see announcement below.

We will take a good look at the WITS offering and make sure that everything we pump out via our APIs is available via the WITS API. If it is not, we will keep ours going. We will email all of our API subscribers and draw their attention to this announcement. We will give plenty of time for subscribers to our wholesale price APIs to transition over to WITS.

Announcement from WITS

All development, testing and UAT for the WITS API Project has been completed and the API has been deployed to the production environment. We would like to thank those who participated in the beta testing, we appreciate you taking a moment to provide feedback. 

We’re now ready to share the API with the wider energy market. Participants and interested public parties can access the API here: https://developer.electricityinfo.co.nz/WITS

The public data that is available via this API includes data that can be found on the WITS website under market prices, energy quantities and reserve quantities. Information on how to call our APIs is available on the portal.
